Job Details:
SUMMARY: The position will be responsible for procuring available market cattle in the area. Duties also include transferring pertinent information to all scalehouse coordinators for price reporting and scheduling purposes. This person must also stay informed on market conditions and monitor available cattle supply and is responsible for decisions regarding cattle pricing. Other duties include developing strong working relationships with all customers scale house coordinators and upper management.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: BS degree in Animal Science or Agriculture preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 3 plus years experience in the cattle and/or packing industry.
Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills.
Computer Skills: Basic MS Office knowledge.
Special Skills: Excellent math skills a must.
Travel: 70 -80%, some overnight travel and a flexible work schedule.
Position Specific Details: This position will cover the Northwest region and must reside within 200 miles of Pasco, WA.
