Profile

I am currently helping a NHS organisation recruit for a Senior Buyer to help seek cost-saving opportunities for the divisions through data analysis.
Main areas of responsibility include:
To establish contracts and purchasing arrangements to cover all goods and services for a designated portfolio ensure full use of leverage and added value.
Lead, deliver and effectively manage the procurement agenda for one or more defined services and commodities.
Within a defined strategic framework ensure policies and operational practices provide effective procurement of products and services. Providing a high level of service while maximising value for money in meeting annual savings targets.
Supports and implements cost reduction schemes in accordance with annual plans and strategic aims agreed at Executive Director, Corporate Directorates, Sites and Directorate General Manager level.
Implement and maintain an effective contract database to facilitate proactive supplier performance review, market analysis and supplier development.
Essential Skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all colleagues both clinical and non-clinical.
Knowledgeable in areas of: project management, negotiation, contract management, cost and price management, EU procurement
Thorough knowledge of computerised procurement systems particularly the use of Microsoft Excel databases
Additional Details:
Travel Requirements: 2 days on site (in London)
Contract Length: 6 Months
Start Date: Start of March 2022
Pay Band: 7-8A
IR35: Inside
