The Purchasing Manager will oversee the planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products according to company needs and customer requirements. The Purchasing Manager is also responsible for overseeing, developing and mentoring the Warehouse Team Leader, and developing strong relationships with suppliers, customers and other internal groups.
How you will do it
1. Review and determine acceptability of new vendors. Oversee and improve the new vendor/supplier registration and approval process.
2. Perform hands-on PO issuance work - coordinate, prepare and issue orders timely and accurately, in accordance with the purchase requisition and the established procurement standards of the company. Obtain quotes and negotiate with suppliers on price, quality and service, as well requesting yearly pricing list updates, and seek competitive quotes when required.
3. Supervise the material delivery tracking process and coordinate with onsite customer.
4. Analyze problems found in the procurement process, develop resolutions, and advise management and internal customer on the best course of actions. Exercises independent judgement and proactively handles complex supplier issues.
5. Collect and analyze purchase data regularly and use this data for PO close-out, work assignment, and other decision-making purposes.
6. Assist and provide direction/guidance to team member on receiving/storage matters, set priorities and schedule, and review and oversee their work.
7. Identify process improvement opportunities and implement changes in the procurement area to better manage and maintain the company’s supply chain and vendors.
8. Prioritizes and completes assigned projects in a timely, cost effective and efficient manner.
9. Work closely with suppliers, internal customer, AP and other groups in an effective and professional manner.
10. Track usage of materials to provide seamless delivery method to onsite customer and to forecast restocking of critical inventory.

Required
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. 5-7 years of procurement experience with a focus on aftermarket parts and distribution. Experience in cost analysis and strong financial knowledge preferred. Good PC / software knowledge/skills.
• Candidate should have the ability to cooperate with people of varying levels both inside/outside the organization and interacts with the team to establish and achieve team goals and objectives
• Candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to express information/ideas in a professional manner to varying levels of people and customers. Strong English skills required. Multi language capabilities preferred.
• Candidate should have the ability to take actions, make informed decisions and generate ideas to improve overall business performance on key metrics directly influenced by this position.
• Candidate should have the ability to establish goals consistent with company objectives and to adapt plans to a changing environment.
