Materials Coordinator

Prioritizing the work for the warehouse, the Materials Coordinator is responsible to execute warehouse activities within the assigned Division/location. They ensure adherence to company standards, applying good housekeeping practices, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency, ensuring goods are received, stored and issued to internal and external customers in a timely manner. They maintain inventory accuracy, both physically and in the warehouse management system and provide support on planning and stock replenishment activities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with established procedures and company standards to maintain effective control over the physical product flow and storage for the warehouse and other inventory areas.
Obtain deep knowledge of production scheduling requirements to ensure prioritization of capacity limited distribution operations.
Support operations by either supervising (reception, issuance, counting, junking, etc.).
Implement required documentation and labelling per company standards and local requirements.
Maintain timely input to the Warehouse Management System and ensure accurate stock transaction records.
Proactively monitor and implement local strategies to reduce excess and ageing stock (specifically aim for a reduction of DSOH and slow-moving indicators) for the assigned Divisions.
Perform periodic reviews of the exception reports in order to maintain data integrity in the Warehouse Management System, including but not limited to discrepancies between systems, unit price, aged open/failed/pending for approval/unmatched transactions, and inactive parts.
Promote, execute, and follow-up internal production order material transfers, until final delivery, ensuring quality controls are carried out and are compliant with the Division quality standards.
Aim for continuous improvement and regular use of Lean tools such as 5S exercise to improve WH efficiency and reduce waste. Implement, as applicable, advanced techniques (e.g., Kitting, Kanban) to improve local materials management efficiency.
Conduct periodic self-assessments and audits as dictated by the Schlumberger global processes.

Qualifications and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED.
SAP and MRP Knowledge
3 years previous purchasing, planning, inventory experience
Previous manufacturing experience.
Computer literate (MS Office).
Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
Bachelor’s Degree
