The Position

  • Develop fabric maximum lead time chart and provide to Product Development and Product Merchandising, ensuring awareness of maximum lead times per drop, and provide guidance during the development process ​
  • Develop fabric buy plans on option level, based on PLM download, sales deadlines, warehouse inbounding capacity, vendor production capacity, requested delivery dates of stock in stores, and information obtained from vendors regarding lead times, Minimal Order Quantities (MOQ) and possible upcharges, and update buy plan daily in case of additions / changes 
  • Assess fabric lead times and merchandise forecast quantities, and placing pre-buys (Excel) when early buy is required, in collaboration with (Senior) Manager Buying & Planning
  • Manage Sales versus Orders (SVO) throughout the sell-in period to revise buys where necessary, negotiate additional production costs (e.g. upcharge in case MOQ is not met) and AC dates with vendors and buying offices based on actuals vs. buy plan analysis 
  • Confirm fabric buys, AC dates, and any additional costing with vendors and creation of buy file, in collaboration with (Senior) Manager Buying & Planning
  • Provide advice regarding prioritisation of Purchase Orderbook to Inbound team, based on several factors (e.g. drop allocation, Retail Best Buys, Product Stories)
